Congress includes support for current and former foster youth!
Thanks to the tremendous work of current and former foster youth and thousands of advocates like you, the $900 billion stimulus bill has been signed into law with $350 million additional dollars going to states to support older youth. In addition to direct stimulus payments of $600 to eligible individuals, the bill also includes the Supporting Foster Youth & Families through the Pandemic Act (H.R. 7947)— providing funding for cash assistance, housing, college and more to support current and former foster youth 14 to 26.
Thank you for standing up for children during these difficult days.
